June 29 - July 3
The STEM Innovation Lab Summer Camp provides a hands-on, project-based experience where campers explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through creativity and innovation. Using recycled materials, scientific experiments, and real-world problem solving, children design and build their own creations while developing critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity skills.

July 6 - July 10
The Mad Science Summer Camp offers a hands-on learning experience where campers explore science and mathematics through fun experiments and guided discovery. Children participate in interactive activities that encourage curiosity, basic scientific thinking, measuring and problem solving. This camp builds confidence while helping campers understand how science connects to everyday life.

July 13 - July 17
The Creative Art Studio Summer Camp encourages creativity through a variety of hands-on art experiences. Campers explore painting, drawing, sculpting, and mixed media through guided individual and group projects such as clay modeling and collage making. Through creative expression and experimentation, children build confidence, imagination, and their own artistic style.

July 20 - July 24
The Outdoor Discovery Camp immerses campers in exploration of the natural world through movement, observation, and inquiry-based learning. Children investigate plant life, insect habitats, weather patterns, and seasonal changes while participating in interactive activities that support language, mathematics, and science learning. This camp fosters curiosity, environmental awareness, and investigative thinking.

August 4 - August 7
The Around the World Cooking Summer Camp takes campers on a cultural journey through food, art, and traditions from around the globe. Children explore new cultures by preparing simple recipes, tasting diverse flavours, and engaging in creative activities and guided investigations. This camp builds cultural awareness, independence, and confidence while strengthening core learning skills.

August 10 - August 14
The Little Carpentry & Woodwork Camp introduces campers to basic building and design through safe, age-appropriate woodworking activities. Children plan, build, and problem-solve as they bring their ideas to life, developing spatial awareness, structural understanding, and confidence. This camp encourages creativity, independence, and a beginner-friendly foundation in craftsmanship.

August 17 - August 21
The Drama and Performing Arts Camp helps campers build confidence and communication skills through acting, movement, music, and stage performance. Children explore storytelling through drama, dance, and music while developing public speaking, teamwork, and self-expression. This camp gives campers the opportunity to shine on their own stage and proudly share their achievements with peers and families.

August 24 - August 28
The Creative Writing and Literacy Camp helps campers develop communication skills through reading, writing, and creative expression. Children explore a variety of writing styles, including narrative, persuasive, descriptive, and imaginative forms, while strengthening critical thinking, collaboration, and language comprehension. This camp gives campers the opportunity to share their work, express ideas, and celebrate their creative achievements.

August 31 - September 4
The Back-to-School Transition Camp helps campers ease back into the classroom through structured academic review and targeted support. Children strengthen skills in reading, writing, and mathematics while developing study habits, organization, and classroom readiness. This camp provides a supportive, low-stress environment to start the school year with confidence and independence.

Everything you need to know about our summer camp program
Our summer camp is designed for children ages 4–13. This ensures all activities are age-appropriate and that proper staff-to-child ratios are maintained for supervision.
Parents will receive a checklist of daily essentials at the time of registration. If any additional items are required, teachers will communicate directly with families.
We follow sun safety practices that include scheduled shade breaks, regular hydration reminders, sunscreen application, and adjusted outdoor time during periods of extreme heat.
Yes, our summer camp offers 9 themed weeks and 9 field trips, designed to keep children engaged, excited, and learning throughout the summer.
Alternative indoor programming is planned to ensure children remain active, engaged, and safe regardless of weather conditions.
Yes, field trips and/or on-site special events are included throughout our 9-week program. Parents will be notified in advance, and permission forms will be provided.
Summer camp runs from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, with extended care available from 3:00 PM–6:00 PM for families requiring late pick-up.
Our staff are trained to support children with allergies and medical needs. Individual care plans are followed, and all staff are informed of any medical requirements to ensure each child's safety.

At Newstead, our philosophy has always been clear. We work in partnership with our children, families, and community to help set the best foundation for lifelong learning. We strive to provide endless opportunities for children to take risks, ask questions, make mistakes, and most importantly develop.
We are excited to announce the opening of our Markham Location Summer Camp for students aged 4–13. This summer camp offers a comprehensive program, including weekly themes combined with academic and play-based learning opportunities. This program will also include weekly community exploration experiences for our students to apply their learning in meaningful, hands-on ways. In keeping with our established practices, hot lunches and two snacks will be provided to all campers.
This program runs from June 29, 2026 to September 4, 2026. We look forward to embarking on this journey together as a community.
